The Marquee app collects nothing about you, and almost everything it does happens on your Mac. The one exception is the optional Marquee connector for Claude, which is a hosted service — what it receives, and what it does not, is set out in full below.
None. Marquee does not collect, transmit, store, or sell any personal data. There are no analytics, no telemetry, no crash-reporting services, no advertising identifiers, no accounts, and no tracking of any kind. The app ships an Apple privacy manifest declaring exactly this.
Screenshots, project files, headlines, captions, translations, and any fonts or images you add are processed entirely on your Mac. Marquee reads only the files you explicitly choose and writes only where you tell it to.
On-device Vision analysis (reading text and color from your screenshots) and Apple Intelligence copy drafting, when available, run locally on your device. Your content is never sent to us or to any third party for these features.
Marquee's App Store Optimization audit is deterministic and runs entirely on your Mac against the search terms you type in. It uses no live App Store data and sends nothing off your device.
Publishing is optional. If you connect an App Store Connect API key, that key is stored only in your Mac's Keychain and never leaves your machine. When you choose to upload, Marquee talks directly to Apple's App Store Connect API over an encrypted connection, authenticated with short-lived tokens signed locally on your Mac. There is no Marquee server in between — your files go to your own Apple account and nowhere else.
The Marquee connector is an optional hosted service that lets Claude — on the web, on mobile, or in the desktop app — research App Store listings. It is a separate thing from the Marquee app, and you have to add it deliberately. Unlike the app, it is a server, so it does receive what you send it.
What it receives. Only the arguments of the tool call: the search queries or app name you are asking about, and the storefront and platform. Plus the ordinary technical metadata any web server sees, such as the originating IP address and timestamp.
What it does with them. It forwards the query to Apple's public iTunes Search and search-hints endpoints — the same public data the App Store shows anyone — and returns an analysis. Results are held in memory briefly so a repeated query does not hit Apple again; that cache is not a database, it is not written to disk, and it is discarded when the service restarts.
What it never receives. Your screenshots, your project files, your unreleased app, your App Store Connect key, your licence key, or your listing copy. None of it is used by these tools and none of it is sent. The connector cannot render, export, or publish anything — that is the Mac app, on your machine.
No account, no profile. The connector requires no sign-in and issues no session. There is nothing for a query to be attached to, so nothing is built up about you over time. Queries are not sold, shared, or used to train anything.
The agent server you install for Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex runs entirely on your machine and reports nothing to us. If you hold a licence key it is checked locally, offline, against a signature — there is no activation call and no licence server, so we do not learn when or where you use it.
From the Marquee app: nothing. It talks to no server of ours and we could not access your screenshots, keys, or uploads even if we wanted to.
From the connector: the queries you send it while you are using it, and its server logs. That is the whole extent of it, and it is why the connector is opt-in and separate.
Marquee is a professional developer tool and is not directed at children. It collects no data from anyone.
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Because the app is built around on-device processing, we do not expect it to change in substance.
